RHL Weaving using a Double Heddle

Learn how to expand your weaving potential on your Rigid Heddle Loom by using double heddles.  This will enable you to work with finer setts of yarn such as laceweight, 8/2 and 10/2 weaving cottons amoung many others.  Once you learn this technique you can also explore double weave for double layer and double width weaving

Supplies to bring to class:
Your rigid heddle loom, with double heddle kit installed
4 ounces of yarn in a size appropriate for your sett. 
If bringing:
10/2 coned cotton:  bring two 12 dpi reeds
8/2 coned cotton:  bring two 10 dpi reeds
5/2 coned cotton:  bring two 8 dpi reeds
Figure your sett and bring the appropriate yarn.  If your set can be around 16epi, bring two 8 dpi reeds
around 20epi, bring two 10dpi reeds
around 24epi, bring two 12 dpi reeds

Bring your sleying hooks, warping peg and any clamps, plus notions such as scissors, measuring tape, etc.


This is a 3-4 hour class.
